Services are trauma-informed, utilizing the Sanctuary Model. Program Director general responsibilities include: ensuring program and staff meet needs of survivors and their children; manage budgets; hire, train and supervise staff; meet objectives and outcomes specified by funding sources; assist with grant proposals and applications; prepare quarterly reports for funders; and participate in committees and task forces. Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology; or equivalent experience and education; two years’ experience with people who have significant trauma histories; two years’ experience providing supervision and proven ability to foster team work; and database/reports skills. FT Transitional Housing Coordinator:

Full-time Transitional Housing Coordinator with SAFE, a domestic violence program in Kent & Sussex Counties. SAFE provides trauma-informed services for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Transitional Housing Coordinator (THC) will provide comprehensive supportive services, including direct housing assistance. Duties will include managing/prioritizing application list, landlord recruitment, identification of available housing, facilitating lease agreements, establishing and maintaining supportive relationships and contact with survivors; transitioning families to housing, referrals to community resources, and advocacy. Other duties include data collection, entry, and reporting, and working collaboratively with SAFE team and community partners. Full-time position to work with survivors of domestic violence who are involved with the Division of Family Services.  The Domestic Violence Liaison provides ongoing support and assistance to include safety planning, connecting survivors to community resources, assisting survivors in filing for protection, identifying resources, attending court hearings, and providing consultation and training to DFS. FT Domestic Violence Community Health Advocate

The Domestic Violence Community Health Advocate (DV-CHA) is a new full-time position at Turning Point.  This position is an essential part of a collaborative statewide effort to address the need for accessible community-based health and safety services for victims of intimate partner violence.  The DV-CHA will engage trauma-informed best practices and work directly with victims of intimate partner violence providing direct advocacy and support, safety planning, case management and connections to supportive services in the community.  The DV-CHA will build capacity for connections to supportive services through increasing linkages to community health services.  Travel required.
