One (1) full-time position for our two (2) Residential Alternative to Detention (RAD) facilities in Milford and Townsend. Position requires hours beyond the standard work day, including weekends. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age, have a satisfactory driving record and criminal background. Must possess a Bachelor's Degree and four years post bachelors human services experience. Experience working with youth and/or in a trauma setting is preferred. Responsibilites include: supervision and positive interactions with full-time and part-time staff in both homes; providing support and guidance to ensure program standards. Basic human resources functions, including interviewing, hiring and scheduling. Positively interacting with residents, males and females ages 8 to 19 with criminal charges in a structured, safety-based residential program Ability to positively and professionally communicate on behalf of People's Place to State staff and officials, court staff, client families, and the community. PT Education Specialist for the Center for Community Justice
Education Specialist - Part-time position. Responsibilities include enrolling students in trainings, teaching Conflict Resolution and Shoplifters Alternative Classes, and following up with referral sources. The Education Specialist would also be trained to assist mediation coordinators with misdemeanor referrals and mediations. Hours are Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. PT Domestic Violence Support Staff for SAFE Program
Part-time domestic violence support staff position for S.A.F.E. program in Kent and Sussex Counties. Day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts available. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include working with adult and children who are survivors of domestic violence in a shelter facility, answering a 24-hour domestic violence hotline, ensuring there is a safe and non-violent environment for residents of the shelter, and providing support services to residents and children. Part-time shifts available: overnights and some weekdays, evenings, weekends, & holidays. Responsibilities include working in a trauma-informed shelter facility, answering 24-hour domestic violence hotline, ensuring there is a safe and non-violent environment, providing support services. Must be bilingual (Spanish).
PT Direct Care Staff for Girl’s Group Home
Part-time position available for day, evening and overnight shifts. Responsibilities include working with traumatized adolescent girls in foster care, ages 13 - 18 yrs., teaching life skills, providing a safe & non-violent environment and providing support and guidance to youth in the home. Experience working with youth and/or in a trauma setting is helpful. Must be at least 21 yrs old, pass all required checks and have a good driving record. High School Diploma/GED required.
Part-time Family Visitation Worker
PT FAMILY VISITATION WORKER needed for Visitation Center program. Travel is to our locations in Georgetown, Milford and Dover and requires working weekends. Responsibilities include assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Family Visitation Center by ensuring a safe, healthy environment for supervised visits and monitored exchanges between non-custodial parents/relatives and children. Education: Associates of Arts (A.A.) degree in Social Work, Child Development or Human Services preferred. High School/G.E.D. diploma required. Spanish a plus.
Part-Time Direct Care Staff for Whatcoat Shelter
Part-time position working with families and individuals who are homeless. Must be able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Must be at least 21 years old and pass all required background checks.
