Victims and their children have 24/7 access to residential and non-residential services to ensure families receive the necessary support and assistance to stay safe. Supportive services available to victims and their children include emergency shelter, crisis hotline, safety planning, transportation assistance, community resources and referrals, financial assistance and planning, relocation services, assistance when seeking housing and/or employment, accompaniment, and advocacy. SAFE empowers survivors of domestic violence to regain control of their lives and break the cycle of abuse whole promoting education and awareness in the community to prevent future instances of violence.
The SAFE program offers a wide range of victim services across Kent and Sussex County to assist survivors of domestic violence, family violence, and human trafficking. SAFE has a team of dedicated professionals including advocates and coordinators who specialize in various areas of victim services and are committed to providing quality support and assistance to survivors and their families. Abriendo Puertas Lideres is committed to promoting domestic violence awareness to the Latina community. This group of survivors participates in a variety of outreach events, presentations and workshops. Through these efforts, Lideres aims to increase domestic violence education and resources available to Latina women and children in Sussex county Delaware.
