Family Visitation offers a safe, nurturing, trauma-informed setting for children and their families. This environment provides supervised visits for parents and their child(ren) as well as safe exchanges between children and parents. 

About This Program

The Family Visitation Centers are conveniently located near public transportation in Dover, Milford, and Georgetown. Family Visitation offers Individual 100% Supervised Visits, Multi-Family Group Supervised Visits, and Safe Exchanges for off-site visits.  Families utilizing the Family Visitation program are often referred by the Courts, Division of Family Services, and may also be self-referred. All services are by appointment only.

All services are provided by appointment only. 

Separate and distinct entrances and parking areas for each parent/participant.
Support for individuals managing or experiencing bipolar disorder.
Staggered arrival and departure times.
Helping individuals navigate and alleviate excessive worry and fear.
Security camera monitoring.
Specialized care for those dealing with traumatic events and experiences.
Experienced security guards
Strategies and support for managing attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
Screened Entry
All visitors are screened and all items are inspected upon arrival at the center. Any information that may jeopardize safety is not shared between participants.

Intake Process

  • Visiting and non-visiting parents/participants are required to call to initiate services and provide contact information. Most parents/participants have received a referral from Family Court or the Division of Family Services (DFS). However, self-referrals and other referral sources are accepted
  • Visiting parents/participants complete their intake.
  • Non-visiting parents/ participants intake and child orientation is completed.
  • Family visitation will coordinate and schedule services with each parent/ participant.

*Each participant seeking services is responsible for initiating contact with Family Visitation, and remaining in contact throughout services. We encourage all participants to have working voicemail space in their mailbox for incoming messages.
