People’s Place is actively seeking volunteers with a passion for community service to assist in our administrative office located in Milford, DE. Volunteers are needed to help with everyday office and administrative tasks. This opportunity is a great way to become actively involved in supporting our community and becoming a part of an amazing team.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to: answering phones, greeting donors, copying, filing, mailings and performing data entry. Follow up with team members to maintain efficient workflow and assist with donor relations which may include receiving donations, organizing donations, drafting donation letters, and maintaining accurate records.
We welcome flexible scheduling based on availability. Hours would be M -F anytime between 8:30 am- 4:30 pm. Volunteers are typically asked to commit to a minimum of 6 months, at least 1 day per week with 12 -24 hours per month.
Skills & Qualifications:
-Previous experience in administrative or office support roles is preferred
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with basic office equipment
-Organized and detail-oriented
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse community members
-Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods (reasonable accommodations can be made)
