Volunteer Opportunities

Current volunteer positions are available

 

 

Become a volunteer and gain valuable experience while giving back to your community! The following People's Place Programs are looking for volunteers:

     Abriendo Puertas (Opening Doors)  -  Must be bi-lingual and able to work with women and children in a domestic violence setting. 

     Independent Living - Basic clerical skills needed and providing assistance with compiling resource information for the Program Director.

     Whatcoat Social Services - Individuals with no criminal background and in good physical condition to provide assistance to staff and Director.

All volunteers must complete a People's Place application form, have no criminal background, and must provide three supervisory or professional references.  Application form located on this website under the Employment Opportunities section.  Regular business hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
