Todd McKee 1967-2017

After the July 8, 2017 sudden and tragic death of their beloved son, brother, uncle and partner, Todd McKee's family chose to honor his memory by establishing a fund in his name.  The Todd McKee Fund was created in recognition of Todd's interest in helping youth and fostering their financial literacy skills.  His family and partner describe Todd as a gentle, loving man who was always there to help others.  The memorial fund is a fitting tribute to Todd's kindness and giving spirit.

People's Place was chosen as the beneficiary of this fund due to the family's friendship with John Baker, who is the agency's  Associate Director of Community Services.  The money raised is being used to purchase new backpacks school supplies and clothing for children in the organization's programs, as well as, underpriviledged students in the community.  An outpouring of donations, each accompanied by a touching comment describing Todd, have been received and have enabled us to purchase and fill approximately 150 backpacks for the upcoming school year.

People's Place cannot thank Todd's family and friends enough for their thoughtfulness and for the contributions that are helping hundreds of students in our community.
