All About U Aveda Salon and Spa located in Millville, Delaware held a Jewelry and Clothing Trunk Show and Silent Auction on July 13, 2018 to benefit The Kind Beauty Project.

The Kind Beauty Project was established in 2018 by Rebecca Weaver Chandler, as the philanthropic branch of All About U Aveda Salon and Spa.  Rebecca founded the project to be a resource for women who have experienced or are currently facing issues relating to abuse, homelessness, domestic violence, sexual assault or other life changing conditions.  The project collects gently used and new hair products, styling tools, toiletries, clothing and jewelry to be donated to local organizations that work with women in a variety of situations.

The Kind Beauty Project recognizes that many survivors fleeing an abusive situation usually arrive at shelter with little to no personal possessions.  Since March of 2018, the People's Place SAFE and Abriendo Puertas domestic violence shelters have been the recipients of approximately $36,000 worth of clean, sanitized beauty products delivered by cheerful volunteers from All About U Aveda Salon and Spa.

Our agency is grateful for this new partnership and to all those involved with The Kind Beauty Project.  They are making a difference in our community by supporting and helping to empower other women, along with spreading awareness of domestic violence in our society and within our local communities.
