Coronavirus Update

posted Wednesday, Mar 18, 2020

People’s Place is dedicated to continue providing high level services for the community, while we prioritize the health of our staff and citizens.  Our mission to “help people” in critical situations will remain in effect while taking all necessary precautions during the rapidly changing developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The health and safety of our staff, clients and residents are of utmost importance and we are committed to provide tips, resources and shared learning about the ways we can support the psychological, emotional and physical well-being of each other and our loved ones.

We also encourage our employees and the community to follow the CDC's Website & Guidelines and DE DPH Website updates as they become available.  Please join us in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 by practicing the following:

  • Proper hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as often as possible
  • Use alcohol-based sanitizers when hand washing is unavailable
  • Avoid touching your face, nose, eyes and mouth
  • Cover your mouth and nose with tissues when coughing or sneezing or use the inside of your elbow if tissues are not available.
  • Disinfect surfaces like doorknobs, light switches, tables, chairs and your phone
  • Stay home if you feel or begin showing symptoms of illness

We believe in community and know we can all do our part to get through this together.
