2014 People’s Place Breakfast and Awards Ceremony

People's Place hosted its Annual Breakfast and Awards Ceremony on May 21, 2014 at the Milford Senior Center. Mr. John Knotts, Executive Director of the Delaware Commission of Veterans Affairs was the guest speaker for the morning and along with Paul Lardizzone, DCVA Chairman, presented Mike Rowe from the People's Place Veterans Outreach Program with an outstanding service award for his work with local veterans.

The agency also recognized our "Employees of the Year", Linda Carey-Ashford from the Girls Group Home and Stacy Wright from the Counseling Center. The "Rookie of the Year" award was presented to Denise Jackson from the Whatcoat Social Service Program.

The organization is also pleased to announce the 2014 "Community Service and People's Place Supporter" awards. The recipients for this year are CrossFit Lewes, Janet Stevenson-Davis and the Delaware Standardbred Association, the Dave Marshall Tennis Club, Wesley United Methodist Church, St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, St. Anne's Episcopal School, Holy Spirit Mission Church, and First Church of Christ Scientist in Milford.
