The SAFE Program of People's Place, which serves women and children fleeing domestic violence, was awarded a $500.00 donation from the Inaugural Benevolence Benefits Program sponsored by the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton, Delaware.  Marcey Rezac, Program Director of SAFE, received the notification on December 13, 2013 from the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in response to her submission and short video explaining the domestic violent program.  Although the Program did not receive the top award in the community category, they were informed that they were a top runner up based on the moving submission by Ms. Rezac.  The $500.00 awarded will be used to assure that survivors of domestic violence will receive essential funds needed for transitional housing costs.
