People’s Place mourns with our community and nation the horrific killing of Mr. George Floyd.  We extend our condolences to his family and to all those who loved him.  We are both saddened and disturbed by the continued injustice and inequality being seen today.  We ask that you join us in our work to deepen our understanding of the lived experiences of people of color and stand up for justice and equity in all realms of society.  Racism, inequality, and injustice must end.

People’s Place is fortunate to have a diverse and caring staff who provide vital services to people from many different and rich cultural backgrounds.  We will continue to promote dignity, empowerment, and safety as we serve our community. We will continue to strive to challenge inequity and injustice as we work toward much needed systemic change.  All of us should be valued and be safe where we live, work, and play.
